Is every Indonesia-issued document written in Bahasa Indonesia?
No. Indonesia-issued records may be Indonesian, English, bilingual, regional-language, religious-script, Dutch, historical, or mixed material.
Bahasa Indonesia uses Latin script, but records can contain abbreviations, stamps, QR panels, identifiers, regional names, religious text, or English. Common files include Akta Kelahiran, Akta Kematian, Kartu Keluarga (KK), Kartu Tanda Penduduk elektronik (KTP-el), passports, Ijazah, Transkrip Nilai, employment letters, bank records, and personal material. Corpus inventories the visible language on every page instead of treating Indonesia as a language label.
Issuer and document type are separate facts. Disdukcapil civil records, KUA marriage books, court files, Polri police records, immigration passports, university credentials, tax documents, company registrations, and notarial deeds are not interchangeable. Translation preserves the record supplied; it does not convert that record into another form.
How are Indonesian names, older spellings, and NIK numbers handled?
Source spelling controls. Indonesian uses Latin script, so names require preservation rather than default transliteration.
Corpus keeps spacing, hyphens, initials, titles, capitalization, diacritics, and field order. Indonesian people may have one-part or multi-part names, so we do not invent a surname, split a mononym, reverse name order, infer kinship, or treat a shared word as a family name. A passport spelling can guide presentation only when it identifies the same person and the source supports the link; variants are documented.
Older names, places, institutions, and titles may retain spellings such as oe, tj, dj, or j. Those forms are not silently modernized. Every visible NIK and identifier is copied digit by digit, including separators; Corpus does not decode it, repair digits, or infer personal attributes.
How are Disdukcapil civil and identity records translated?
Each civil or identity record keeps its exact title, issuing office, jurisdiction, numbers, dates, QR wording, signatures, and pages.
An Akta Kelahiran is not a Surat Keterangan Lahir, hospital or religious record, affidavit, or Kartu Keluarga. Corpus translates the supplied document and preserves Disdukcapil jurisdiction, numbers, annotations, seals, and reverse text. Use the birth-certificate guide or death-certificate guide to prepare complete scans.
Identity packets may combine KTP-el, KK, a passport bio page, civil records, residence or immigration cards, court material, and supporting letters. Modern civil records can be self-printed with QR panels, but Corpus translates only visible content. We do not retrieve records, access Dukcapil or immigration portals, correct government data, authenticate a document, or validate its QR code or signature.
What is the difference between Buku Nikah and Akta Perkawinan?
Buku Nikah is a KUA marriage book, while Akta Perkawinan is a civil-registration marriage certificate; the labels are not interchangeable.
For either record, Corpus preserves the issuer, spouses' names, dates, book or certificate number, endorsements, stamps, signatures, and every supplied page and side. A religious entry, supporting letter, or court record keeps its printed identity instead of being renamed as a marriage certificate. The marriage-certificate guide explains complete-file intake.
Divorce material retains the court name, case number, parties, judgment or certificate terminology, orders, dates, and any finality wording. Translation does not summarize legal effect or advise which marriage or divorce record a recipient requires. Mixed Arabic, Jawi, Pegon, regional-language, or handwritten material is quoted before price and timing are confirmed.
How are SKCK, court, and recipient-specific records handled?
An SKCK is translated as the Polri record supplied; it is not presented as proof that a particular recipient will accept it.
Corpus preserves Surat Keterangan Catatan Kepolisian (SKCK) and any historical SKKB label, issuing unit, purpose, validity wording, number, fingerprints, photos, seals, and annotations. U.S. State Department reciprocity guidance labels police records unavailable for immigrant-visa applicants, while Polri issues SKCK for stated uses. These categories remain distinct; an SKCK should not be assumed to satisfy a U.S. visa instruction. The criminal-record guide covers scan preparation.
Court translations preserve the court, case number, parties, orders, dates, finality wording, stamps, and annexes. Corpus does not interpret legal effect or advise what to file. The court-document guide explains complete-page intake.
How are Indonesian academic records translated?
Academic translations preserve the school, faculty, student, program, qualification, courses, credits, grades, legends, dates, and connected pages.
An Ijazah keeps its printed qualification and institutional wording. A Transkrip Nilai keeps course titles, SKS or other credit labels, grades, totals, grading legends, student number, stamps, signatures, and connected pages. Corpus does not calculate an equivalency, convert grades, or perform credential evaluation. It also does not merge separate credentials or omit a supplied reverse side.
Upload the diploma, transcript, reverse side, legalization or annotation pages, and any separate legend the recipient needs translated. The diploma guide and academic-transcript guide cover readable-file preparation. Schools, evaluators, licensing bodies, and employers control whether they need originals, copies, sealed records, recent records, or a separate evaluation.
How are Indonesian business, notarial, and financial records translated?
Structured business records keep their printed entity names, forms, identifiers, roles, deed terms, dates, amounts, tables, seals, and annexes.
Company and notarial packets may contain NIB, AHU, NPWP, license labels, officers, resolutions, deed numbers, notary names, capital terms, tax periods, and electronic panels. Corpus preserves those elements without verifying registry or tax status, ownership, authority, or legal effect. The business-record guide explains linked-page and annex intake.
Employment, medical, property, religious, personal, tax, and bank-statement files retain the provider or authority, Rp and other currency labels, amounts, account or reference numbers, dates, redactions, signatures, stamps, and tables. We do not reconstruct hidden values or remove a redaction. Dense tables, multiple entities, faint electronic printouts, and mixed supporting records receive quote review.
What scan and OCR problems require quote review?
Handwriting, faint QR print, old orthography, mixed scripts, damage, dense tables, and uncertain page relationships require review before ordering.
OCR can confuse I/l/1, O/0, rn/m, u/n, and c/e; it can clip punctuation, shift columns, or break numbers. Corpus checks names, dates, amounts, document numbers, NIK strings, seals, stamps, and handwriting against the image. Missing text is marked unreadable rather than filled from context.
Send straight, uncropped color images of every page and side, including margins, reverse text, photos, QR panels, signatures, tables, annexes, and page numbers. Prefer the original digital PDF for self-print records so small text and numbers remain sharp. Records containing Dutch, Arabic, Jawi, Pegon, Javanese, Sundanese, Balinese, or another language or script are inventoried and quoted first.
What should I confirm with USCIS or another recipient?
The recipient controls the required record type, original or copy format, recency, completeness, certification, and filing instructions.
For USCIS, 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3) requires a full English translation with certification of completeness and accuracy and translator competence. Follow the form, notice, or RFE and review USCIS translation services. Corpus provides the translation and signed certificate but does not promise acceptance, approval, or an immigration outcome.
NVC or a consular post can apply reciprocity guidance to civil, police, and court records. Courts, schools, employers, and other recipients may set different rules for originals, copies, dates, stamps, or formatting. Confirm unclear requirements before ordering because translation cannot cure the wrong record, a missing reverse, an unreadable identifier, or an incomplete packet.
Should I start an order or request a quote?
Use direct order for a clear, complete, modern typed Indonesian file with known pages; use quote review for uncertainty or added complexity.
Use Start Your Order for an eligible standard file with known pages. Choose Other and specify Indonesian; checkout has no named Indonesian option. Eligible pages start at $19.99/page, and standard 24-hour delivery applies only after scope confirmation.
Use Get a Quote and select named Indonesian for handwriting, older spelling, mixed language or script, faint QR or self-print records, damaged scans, dense tables, multiple documents, unclear page counts, or recipient requirements. Upload all pages and name the recipient. Corpus provides certified written-document translation only, not interpretation, notarization, apostille service, hard-copy delivery, record procurement, authentication, QR or signature validation, portal access, credential evaluation, or legal advice.
FAQs
What does certified Indonesian document translation cost?

We preserve one-part or multi-part names, field order, titles, spelling, and every visible identifier digit. We do not invent a surname, reverse a name, or decode or repair an NIK.
Can you translate an Akta Kelahiran, Kartu Keluarga, or KTP-el?
Yes, when every submitted page is readable. We preserve the exact document type, issuer, identifiers, QR wording, stamps, and signatures without retrieving or authenticating the record.
Can you translate a Buku Nikah or Akta Perkawinan?
Yes. We preserve whether the source is a KUA marriage book or a civil-registration marriage certificate, including its issuer, dates, numbers, endorsements, and pages.
