Eligible standard documents are delivered within 24 hours of order confirmation on business days, or that document is free. Four separate things in that sentence decide whether it covers your file: the document has to be eligible, the clock starts at order confirmation, it runs on business days, and the remedy if we miss is that the document is free. This page takes them one at a time.
Standard documents, up to 4 pages each: birth records, marriage records, divorce records, academic records and police records. Those five types, at that length, are what the commitment covers.
A foreign civil-registry document counts by what it records, not by which country issued it. A Japanese koseki is a register of births, marriages and divorces, so it is a standard document of those types — subject to the same 4-page threshold as everything else on the list. A register copy longer than 4 pages is not a standard document and goes to quote review instead, which is what koseki translation already does.

A "no" in the middle column means the file goes to quote review instead of direct checkout, and you get its delivery date before you pay.
At order confirmation — not at upload, and not at payment. Those are earlier steps and neither one starts it.
The practical consequence: time before your order is confirmed does not count against the window. This page does not give a daily cut-off time, so the earlier your order is confirmed, the earlier the clock starts.
Order as early as you can, and order an eligible standard document directly at start your order rather than through quote review. The commitment runs on business days and starts at order confirmation. For any other file, your quote gives its delivery time before you pay.
If it is an eligible standard document, that document is free. The remedy is scoped to the document, not to the order — the wording is or that document is free, and the difference is money.
A worked example, because this is the part people read wrongly. An order has three eligible standard documents, all confirmed together. Two arrive inside the window; the third does not. The third document is free. The other two are not, because they were delivered as committed. So a late eligible standard document is free, and it never converts the rest of a correct invoice into a refund.

For a file that is not on the standard list, the answer is not a tier either — it is a date from quote review, given to you before you pay.
There is nothing there to change it. We do not provide notarization, apostille service, hard copies, interpreting or legal advice, so none of them can appear in a delivery estimate.
Delivery is digital. The translation and the signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy arrive together as a PDF.
Quote review returns a price and a delivery date together, and you decide after you have both. Nothing is charged while a file is in quote review.
Send the clearest images or scans you have. Legibility can move a date, because a line nobody can read has to be resolved with you or marked illegible, never guessed — see accepted file formats for what reads well and what does not.

The delivery remedy is about timing: a late eligible standard document is free.
The correction remedy is about accuracy: if we made an error in the translation or certification, we correct it free — for the life of the document, no time limit. If a translation is rejected solely because of an error on our part, we revise it free or refund the translation fee.
