Information we collect
- Documents you submit for translation — these often contain sensitive personal data (names, dates of birth, government ID numbers, family and marital information, immigration details). We collect them solely to perform the translation you request.
- Contact and order details — name, email, phone, and the details needed to fulfill and deliver your order.
- Payment information — processed by our payment providers (Stripe and PayPal). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Website usage data — IP address, browser type, and pages visited, via cookies and analytics tools.
How we use your information
- To produce, certify, and deliver your translation.
- To communicate about your order, quotes, revisions, and support.
- To process payments and keep required business and tax records.
- To improve our website and services.
We do not sell your personal information.
How we share your information
- Translators and reviewers working on your project, who are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Service providers that help us operate — our payment processors (Stripe, PayPal), hosting and CDN (Cloudflare), email, and analytics — only as needed to provide the service.
- Legal requirements — when required by law or to protect our rights.
Document handling and retention
Submitted documents and completed translations are retained for up to 12 months to support reorders, corrections, and USCIS re-submissions, then securely deleted. You may request earlier deletion of your documents — see “Your rights.”
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, California/CCPA or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal data, and to receive a copy. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Cookies
We use cookies for site functionality, your cart and checkout, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information and limit access to those who need it to serve you. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
Children
Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Documents about a minor (for example, a child’s birth certificate) may be submitted by an adult applicant and are processed as part of that adult customer’s order.
Changes
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will reflect changes.
