This checklist explains what to look for when selecting a provider for certified translations for USCIS purposes. It is not a ranking of translation companies, and it does not claim that any provider can promise acceptance or immigration outcomes.
Buyer shortcut: If you already know the page count, Start Your Order at 8¢/word or $19.99/page (whichever is lower). If your USCIS packet has multiple documents, unclear scans, handwriting, or deadline notes, Request a Quote first. For price planning, see certified translation cost for USCIS purposes.
What USCIS asks for
USCIS generally requires a complete English translation for foreign-language documents submitted in an immigration filing, along with a translator certification stating that the translation is complete and accurate and that the translator is competent to translate.
Provider checklist
- Certification statement: Confirm the provider includes a signed certificate of translation accuracy.
- Complete-document handling: The translation should cover visible text, seals, stamps, handwritten notes, back pages, and attachments when relevant.
- Clear pricing: Ask whether pricing is per page, per word, or quote-based for complex packets.
- Turnaround: Confirm delivery timing before filing deadlines, especially for multi-page or handwritten documents.
- Revision process: Make sure there is a route for correcting spelling, name-order, or formatting issues before submission.
- Service boundaries: A translation company should not provide immigration filing guidance, immigration strategy, or acceptance promises.

The receiving agency, attorney, court, school, or reviewer controls its own document rules. Corpus provides certified translations; it does not provide immigration filing guidance and cannot promise immigration outcomes.
